Sales Policy
MisFit Farm Animal Sales Policy
By purchasing an animal from MisFit Farm AKA Misfit Enterprises LLC (MF) it is understood that the buyer is accepting the terms and conditions of this Sales Policy. Please remember that the sale of an animal from MF indicates the beginning of our relationship, not the end. MF offers the buyer & the animal support and assistance for the life of the animal.
MF accepts Cash, Check and PayPal. PayPal fees are the responsibility of the buyer and must be included at the time of transaction-please add 2%.
Please make your purchases carefully as all animal sales are final. No animals are returnable or exchangeable after they leave MF. MF will however, assist as best as possible in finding new owners for animals whose new owners need help rehoming them. If a buyer changes their selection before picking up or making a final payment MF will make available an alternate animal if available but that option is limited to stock on hand.
To aid in the smoothest transition for the animal and the buyer MF offers the buyer assistance with education, resource cultivation and hands on care of any animal sold. It is however, ultimately the responsibility of the buyer to become familiar with the animal husbandry requirements & needs for the animal purchased. MF cannot be responsible for any animal’s quality of care or wellness once the animal leaves MF. When an animal needs medical attention we will offer as much support as possible but that does not necessarily equate to or substitute for medical care provided by a veterinarian should the situation dictate. Farm animals, like companion animals, sometimes require medical attention from a doctor, please be prepared for that possible eventuality. The most stressful times in a goat's life are birth, weaning, castration, giving birth and changing homes, this is when the utmost attention to wellness is paramount. We implore buyers to please utilize proactive wellness strategies to minimize stress by educating themselves about the health and well-being of their animals and to stay attentive to the warning signs of illness.
All animals with designated pedigree and registry carrying MF’s name will be named before leaving MF. MF is a member of the American Dairy Goat Association (ADGA) and our herd name is RTB (Rockin the Boat), so goats with the MF designate will be named “RTB XYZ (the sire's initials) Morning Dew”…for example. An official registered name need not be synonymous with an animal's "barn" name.
Buyers must agree that any goat purchased will not be living alone but will be living with other goats. And, that all goats will be provided with adequate housing, this includes dry shelter from sun, wind and rain and protection from predators and that they will NEVER be tethered unattended.
Per availability of 4H quality animals, MF will offer 4H members a discount provided the 4H member agrees to actually use the animal in 4H endeavors. The discount will be a substantial credit towards the purchase for a future animal. The 4H member agrees to provide MF with photos and updates of the animal & its placement in competitions. The 4H member must contact MF before selling or giving away any animal obtained from MF. MF retains the First Right of Refusal if the 4H member decides to sell or give away the animal at any time. 4H animals will be advertised as such.
MF offers a 20% discount on a multiple goat purchases of three (3) or more.
MF will accept reservations on kids yet to be born at no charge but cannot guarantee that the reservation will be filled.
MF requires a $150 deposit by week eight on male kids reserved as bucklings.
Once an animal has been purchased it should be collected by the buyer immediately unless the animal is not mature enough to leave or boarding is prearranged. Boarding fees may be applicable in addition to the purchase price depending on the length of hold time requested by the buyer. Once the animal is paid in full any expenses that the animal incurs prior to pick-up is the responsibility of the buyer.
Buyer will be responsible for the animal’s transportation unless prearranged. MF favors farm pick-ups but will ship animals at the expense of the buyer. Should a buyer wish to have a goat shipped, all health certificates and crates are the buyer’s financial responsibility. MF will provide transportation of the animal to the buyer’s health care practitioner of choice and to the airport for .50 per mile. MF often has extra crates and if one is available at the time of sale/shipping MF will sell the buyer one at cost, or the buyer can ship a crate to MF. MF will not ship poultry.
Buyer must be 18 years or older to purchase an animal. Should a minor wish to purchase an animal the legal guardian of the minor must provide documentation demonstrating permission and intent to supervise the minor to ensure the animal’s proper care. The adult must accompany the minor to pick up the animal. In this case there will be no shipping.
MF will place a hold on an animal pending final sale with a 50% deposit and a mutually determined hold time. MF reserves the right to cancel a pending sale at anytime that extends beyond the mutually agreed upon hold time should the buyer not finalize payment or pick up. In this instance only 50% of the deposit made by the buyer will be refunded. Should MF and the buyer mutually agree to cancel any pending sale the deposit will be refunded fully.

All animals are healthy at the time of sale. MF would never knowingly sell any animal that is unhealthy.
